On December 14, 2025, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) unveiled a landmark partnership aimed at enhancing vaccination coverage in underserved regions across the globe.

This initiative, dubbed "Vaccine for All," seeks to close the immunization gap, particularly in low- and middle-income countries suffering from vaccine hesitancy and access challenges.

In a press conference held in Geneva, WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced the ambitious plan, which aims to deliver over 500 million doses of essential vaccines by 2028.

Dr. Ghebreyesus emphasized that “equitable distribution of vaccines is not just a health issue but a moral imperative.”

The initiative includes a focus on increasing public awareness and combating misinformation about vaccines, which has been a significant barrier to vaccination efforts.

The partnership will utilize innovative technology, such as mobile health applications, to provide real-time data on vaccination rates and allow communities to track their progress.
