This is happening even though vet fees are higher.

Many other costs are also increasing.

But pet insurance has become slightly cheaper.

The median lifetime cover for dogs is £247 per year.

For cats, it is £180 per year.

Despite this, one-third of UK pet owners don't have insurance.

The main reason is that it is too expensive.
