Marie-Celestin Karondwa was an important politician in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
He worked for the ruling party called the UDPS.
On Sunday, he went to a radio show in Butembo.
During the show, he spoke about the Ebola disease.
He encouraged people to use prevention measures.
Unfortunately, people attacked him after the show.
Karondwa was beaten to death by his attackers.
His political party announced this sad news in a statement.
The city of Butembo is a new center for the Ebola outbreak.
