A council of imams in Australia condemns the words of a preacher in Melbourne.
The man's name is Abu Ahmad and he spoke in a video in July.
He asked his followers to take up arms against their enemies.
He also said not to be friends with Jews and Christians.
The Australian National Imams Council is very concerned by these reports.
The council released an official statement on Tuesday to denounce these remarks.
An Australian MP thinks these comments show the need for better laws.
She wants stronger protection against hate speech.
The police are now investigating this case to see if there is a crime.
The government says that violence has no place in society.
