Italian verb conjugation game

Type 12 Italian verb forms from a prompt such as a pronoun, a verb and a tense. A miss shows the whole paradigm with the changed ending or stem highlighted and a one-line rule, so you learn the pattern instead of one answer.

  • You type the form, not pick it
  • Accents checked and named

Verb Sprint

12 conjugation prompts, one a day. Type the verb form — accents count.

How to play

  1. Read the prompt: a pronoun, an infinitive and a tense.
  2. Type the conjugated form. Accent buttons sit under the box for phones and keyboards without accents.
  3. A correct form scores a point. A form with a missing or wrong accent counts as almost right and names the accent.
  4. A wrong form shows the answer, the full paradigm with your row marked, and the rule behind it.
  5. Finish all 12 prompts to see your score and longest run, and share a spoiler-free result grid.

Sample: essere in the present tense

This is the kind of table a miss shows you. Irregular forms are marked in words, not only by colour.

essere, present tense
PronounForm
iosono(irregular)
tusei(irregular)
luiè(irregular)
noisiamo(irregular)
voisiete(irregular)
lorosono(irregular)

Pronouns and tenses

Tu is the informal singular and voi the plural. Lui and lei share a form, and formal Lei uses that same third-person form. Prompts name the pronoun, so the expected person is always explicit.

A1 practises the present tense. From A2 the round adds the passato prossimo, with essere verbs whose participle agrees (lei è andata).

Frequently asked questions

Is the Italian conjugation game free?
Yes. The daily round is free and needs no account. Forms you miss are listed on the results screen, so you can review them straight away.
What happens if I forget an accent?
A form that is right except for an accent counts as almost right, and the feedback names the accent you missed. Use the accented-letter buttons if your keyboard has no accents.
Which pronouns and tenses are covered?
Tu is the informal singular and voi the plural. Lui and lei share a form, and formal Lei uses that same third-person form. Prompts name the pronoun, so the expected person is always explicit. A1 practises the present tense. From A2 the round adds the passato prossimo, with essere verbs whose participle agrees (lei è andata).
Where do the conjugations come from?
Every form is stored in static data checked against hand-verified reference tables, including irregular verbs. The game never generates forms on the fly.
How often does the round change?
There is one round a day per language. A new set unlocks at midnight UTC, and everyone gets the same prompts that day at the same level, so you can compare results without spoilers.
